Mclean, Virginia – Virginia Delegate Dan Helmer presented Prabha Bhattarai Deuja, founder and president of the PKP Tender Hearts Foundation, with an official House Resolution commending DT Fest during a special gathering at Masala Indian Cuisine. The event brought together prominent community leaders to celebrate the milestone, with attendees including PKP TEnder Hearts Executive Secretary Ian Butteriss, Himadri Bhandari, Laghima Pandey and Prakriti Deuja.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates on June 22, 2026, House Resolution No. 2147 officially recognizes DT Fest in Ashburn for celebrating its fifth anniversary. As one of the largest Nepali cultural festivals in the United States, the annual event draws more than 10,000 attendees to honor the traditions, music, art, and heritage of Nepal during Dashain and Tihar.

The success of the festival is deeply rooted in the partnership of the PKP Tender Hearts Foundation, which plays an essential role in coordinating events, performances, and special guest appearances.
