SYDNEY, Australia – Hundreds of community members gathered at Burwood Park to celebrate Teej, one of the most vibrant festivals in the Nepali calendar, bringing together families, friends, and local leaders for a day of culture, tradition, and community spirit. The event highlighted the rich cultural diversity of Burwood and the strong presence of the Nepalese community within the region.

Joining the festivities were Burwood Police Area Command Commander Christine McDonald and Constable Neharika Basnet, who spent time engaging with community members throughout the celebration. The event was also attended by New South Wales Premier Chris Minns, Member for Strathfield Jason Yat-sen Li, and Burwood Mayor John Faker, reflecting broad support for multicultural events that foster inclusion and community connections.
