Previously operating under special permission, Simrik Air can now provide regular skydiving experiences for both Nepali and international visitors seeking the thrill of freefall against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayas, Annapurna range, and Pokhara Valley.
The company says the move will help diversify Nepal’s tourism offerings and attract adventure travelers looking for unique experiences beyond traditional trekking routes. With global demand for adventure travel continuing to grow, skydiving is expected to bring a new segment of high-value visitors to Nepal.
Safety remains central to the operation. Simrik Air’s skydiving team consists of six highly experienced professionals licensed in the United States. The group includes a safety instructor and commander with more than 2,500 successful jumps, while the remaining members have each completed over 2,000 jumps, ensuring international standards of safety and professionalism.
Industry observers believe the permanent operating permit represents an important step in strengthening Nepal’s reputation as one of the world’s leading adventure tourism destinations.
