Serving currently as the member secretary of the central convention preparation committee, Dahal unveiled a comprehensive leadership platform aimed at strengthening organizational structures, expanding people-to-people ties between Nepal and the US, and actively engaging the second generation across diverse forums.
Placing financial transparency at the core of his campaign, Dahal emphasized a strict commitment to discipline and integrity, stating that institutional trust relies heavily on financial accountability. His core agenda points include implementing tech-friendly collaborative programs across US chapters, establishing a think tank of renowned and experienced diaspora experts to issue formal stances, ensuring rigorous good governance, and lobbying to reactivate the federal “Nepal Caucus” while collaborating with Nepali-origin elected officials in the US. Furthermore, his platform prioritizes heritage and community visibility by seeking to install a half-statue of Nepali Congress founder and first democratically elected prime minister B.P. Koirala in a public park, coordinating with local governments to name streets after Nepal, and mandating annual structured operational calendars for chapters.
Dahal’s vision and candidacy have garnered widespread backing, solidarity, and active support from committee voters and participants. Born in Sahidbhumi, Okhaldhunga, Dahal brings an extensive background in political activism rooted in his student days with the Nepal Student Union (NSU), where he served as a district member, Kathmandu contact committee president, and later as press advisor to the then Minister of State for Finance, Gopal Rai.
