Manassas, VA – The 5th DMVYA Cup 2026 officially concluded on July 26 2026 at the Howison Homestead Soccer Complex, delivering an unforgettable weekend of high-intensity competition and community spirit. Bringing together teams from Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, and beyond, the tournament featured fierce battles across both the Open Category and the Masters Division (40+). Beyond the action on the pitch, the event successfully celebrated unity, friendship, and sportsmanship within the Nepali community, drawing large, enthusiastic crowds of fans and families.

In the championship matches, VA Rhinos claimed the Masters Category title following a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Himalaya Baltimore, capping off an incredible run for the Himalayan Baltimore Masters team, which finished as the proud Runner-Up after recording 3 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Meanwhile, their Open Category squad put on an exceptional display all weekend, finishing the group stage with 2 wins and 1 loss before a narrow exit in the Quarterfinals. In the Open Category final, Dallas Gurkha edged out Dang FC in a fiercely contested showdown, securing the championship trophy by scoring a decisive, match-winning goal.

Individual brilliance also shone brightly throughout the tournament, highlighted by Lokendra Tamang of VA Rhinos earning the Best Manager award in the Masters Category for his exceptional tactical leadership. Neeraj Nepal took home Man of the Match honors for the final after delivering a stellar, match-winning performance crowned by a crucial goal, while Sunil earned Semifinal Man of the Match for a rock-solid, impenetrable defensive performance at right back that paved the way for the VA Rhinos’ success.
