The Road to UFC Season 5 is set to continue its high-stakes tournament on August 28, 2026, at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Shanghai, China. This “win and advance” series serves as a crucial pathway for top mixed martial arts prospects from the Asia-Pacific region to earn a multi-fight UFC contract.
In the bantamweight division, Nepali fighter Rabindra Dhant is slated to face Kasib Murdoch in the semifinals. Dhant secured his place in this round after a dominant second-round TKO victory over Kimbert Alintozon in the opening round held in Macau, making him the first Nepali fighter to achieve a victory in the Road to UFC tournament.
The other bantamweight semifinal matchup will feature Ryo Tajima against Chungreng Koren. These bouts are part of an action-packed fight week in Shanghai, which also includes a UFC Fight Night event on August 29, 2026, and represents a significant step for all competitors as they vie for a spot in the tournament finals.
