Nepal has received a major boost in its quest to reach the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2028 after the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the Rhinos will advance directly to the Global Qualifier, bypassing the Asian regional qualifying stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement came as part of the ICC’s newly approved qualification pathway for the 2028 T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. This means Nepal will avoid the lengthy Asian regional qualification process and instead compete against some of the world’s strongest emerging cricket nations for a place at the 2028 World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development is being viewed as another significant milestone for Nepali cricket. Nepal’s participation in the 2026 T20 World Cup helped elevate its international standing and has now provided a clearer pathway toward another appearance on cricket’s biggest T20 stage.
