ASHBURN, VA.\u2014 Nearly 10,000 attendees gathered as DT Fest 2026 successfully concluded, bringing the vibrant traditions of Nepal\u2019s Dashain and Tihar festivals to Northern Virginia. Blessed with beautiful weather and clear skies throughout the day, attendees celebrated from start to finish without rain, making DT Fest 2026 one of the most memorable Nepali cultural gatherings in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As doors opened to the public at 12:00 PM, crowds poured in to explore a bustling marketplace of vendor stalls and presence of The Embassy of Nepal, alongside a captivating Newa Culture Rath showcase and the traditional Pulu Kisi (elephant dance) cultural performance. Festival-goers of all ages fully immersed themselves in the festive spirit, enjoying classic Dashain and Tihar pastimes, including kite flying and playing carrom board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main stage events kicked off as scheduled at 1:00 PM, opening with a colorful showcase of kids’ cultural dance performances. Leading up to the musical headliners, momo eating challenge drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. For younger families, a special Gorilla dance performance proved to be a standout attraction, delighting kids and adults alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The live concert delivered non-stop energy throughout the afternoon and evening, keeping the crowd engaged from start to finish. Mokshya Mantra kickstarted the musical lineup with an energetic opening set, setting a vibrant tone for the rest of the show. Folk and playback sensation Samikshya Adhikari then took the stage, captivating attendees with a selection of crowd-favorite hits, before renowned vocalist Shiv Pariyar moved the audience with his soulful melodies and powerful vocal performance. Closing out the spectacular evening, the legendary rock ensemble Mukti and Revival delivered an iconic headlining performance that brought the entire festival to an unforgettable conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
