Fairfax County Police are investigating a domestic-related homicide after a woman was found fatally shot inside a residence in the 12000 block of Washington Brice Road late Sunday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 12. Upon arriving at the home, they discovered a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities said the incident appears to be domestic-related and involved a husband and wife. The victim\u2019s husband was detained at the scene and is currently being interviewed by detectives as part of the ongoing investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a media briefing, Deputy Chief Brendan Hooke stated that investigators have a suspect in custody and emphasized that there are no outstanding suspects and no ongoing threat to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police indicated that the husband and wife were the only individuals known to be inside the home at the time of the shooting. Detectives remained at the scene overnight collecting evidence and working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The identities of those involved have not yet been released, and no charges had been announced as of Monday morning. Fairfax County Police said the homicide investigation remains active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
